Buglemania hits the Edinburgh Fringe!

We're past the halfway point of the Edinburgh Fringe already, and to say that our amazing Bugle Boys are NAILING IT would be an understatement! The past two weeks have been crazy busy, with our queens taking the BBC by storm, hitting Radio Forth’s drivetime show, playing Best of the Fest (twice!), guesting at the New Town Cabaret and Brewhemia, plus performing at the Virgin Money Lounge for Fringe donors and at The Greatest Showman Sing-along.

Where are they now? (Part 1)

2017 is drawing to a close, but there's no rest for the wicked...and, well, we're most definitely wicked. We've got a number of exciting projects for next year on the go, so stay tuned! But in the meantime; here's an update of what some of our brilliant 2017 Fringe stars are working on at the moment.

Michelle Shocked turns up the heat with UK tour!

Yes! Our favourite Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, Michelle Shocked – the Godmother of Americana – is bringing her unique blend of indie, folk, blues, and politics to the UK, kicking off her Mercury Rising Tour at Brasserie Zédel's legendary Crazy Coqs in London, as part of their Live at Zédel programme this coming February. Known as the ‘Mercury Trilogy’ (due to being released by Mercury Records), Short Sharp Shocked, Captain Swing, and Arkansas Traveler are arguably Michelle Shocked’s most enduring works.

Is it over yet?! Our Fringe in numbers…

Producing 14 shows across six venues, plus doing PR for three additional shows, meant a very busy July/August for us indeed. But more importantly, it meant meeting and working with an army of amazing artists and arts industry people to deliver an exciting programme of world-class shows. And in the end, the fun totally outweighed the fatigue and stress. We may still be knackered and full of the Fringe flu right now, but we're also feeling pretty darn proud of our first, full Edinburgh Fringe season.

The Civil Disobedience Fringe programme is here!

We're beyond excited as our first ever Edinburgh Fringe programme just arrived from the printers! Starring Courtney Act: The Girl from Oz; Roddy Bottum's Sasquatch; Joe's NYC Bar; Hans: Mein Camp; Michael Griffiths' Sweet Dreams; Carla Lippis: Cast A Dark Shadow; Danny Condon's Songs from the Black Sheep; Peter Michael Marino's Show Up; Mindy Raf: Keeping My Kidneys; Romy Nordlinger's Places; Tomas Ford: Crap Music Rave Party/Craptacular; Modern Robot's Alive: Music for Night of the Living Dead; and Michelle Shocked: Truth vs Reality.

Louise Oliver: It takes guts to create art

Listen up, creative types; our associate producer Louise Oliver has got something to tell you. Whether you're about to battle the wild and fickle beast that is the Edinburgh Fringe, or pack in a secure day job for a precarious career in the performing arts, Louise is here to remind you of how much the world needs you. And as seasoned arts industry manager, who also acts, writes, sings, and produces for a living, she knows what the hell she's talking about.
