We just love Tomás Ford. It’s impossible not to, once you’ve been initiated to his mix of powerful synth sounds, flashing lights, video projections, outlandish vocals, and crazy party spirit. To us he embodies laugh-out-loud cabaret at its wildest, and his shows definitely make for a night to remember.
His performance style has come together over a decade of trying bad ideas against audiences in Australia’s roughest music pubs and warehouse parties. He threw himself at the world of Fringe Festivals in 2013 and found he stuck; a trail of sold-out shows, all manner of awards, and shit-hot reviews followed.
Tomás and the Civil team…
We’ve known Tomás for a few years now, and we’ve adored working with him on various projects in the past, including the Big Cabaret Gala in 2015 and Joe’s NYC Bar at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe.
So naturally we were thrilled to produce both Pop Craptacular and Crap Music Rave Party at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe, and we’re super-excited to be working with Tomás on European tour dates for 2018 and beyond.
If you’d like chat about booking Tomás Ford for an event or function, hit us up.
About Pop Craptacular
International cabaret sex god Tomás Ford reaches for international stardom with his biggest, dumbest pop extravaganza yet.
Hear the trashiest pop songs of all time in ways you never asked to hear them. Think Kylie, Madonna, and Bieber in a unique mix of stadium spectacular and hostage situation.
About Crap Music Rave Party
Grab your mates and hit the dance floor with hyperactive Australian party machine Tomás Ford for the Fringe’s most ridiculous party. Request a crap song like Take That, Mel & Kim, 5ive, line dancing techno, forgotten Christmas hits, 80s movie themes, 2 Unlimited…if it’s bad enough, we’ll drop it like it’s hot.
Crap Rave Music Party is a full-on spectacle including DIY rave video projections, balloons, hardware store disco lights, glowsticks and…look, it’s hard to explain. Things get properly mental. Start thinking of your crap music requests now, this is gonna be mega!
