In 2018 we delivered another full programme at the Edinburgh Fringe, presenting 11 shows and three sold out public debates at Fringe Central.
The debates, which we originated and programmed, were supported by the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society and took the shape of open space discussions on drag culture, women in the arts, and art as activism. We secured a VIP panelists for the debates, including Murray Hill, Fez from Briefs, Dandy Darkly, Vicky Falconer, Karen from Finance and Stef Smith, with provocations to kick the debates off delivered by Courtney Act, Pussy Riot and Orla O’Loughlin.
As part of our 2017 EdFringe programme we partnered with the Wallonia-Brussels Federation to help deliver the international ambitions of four brilliant companies from Belgium. Our work on this outstanding showcase helped secure sell out runs as well as a Total Theatre Award for Backup.
We also worked on a number of other projects in 2018, including a feasibility study for the Science Festival and a Christmas run of Bugle Boys, AND we were named a finalist in the ‘One to Watch’ category of the Scottish Culture Awards.
