We’re super-excited to see some of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe shows we’re working on this year going on sale today! Check them out below.

The Gray Cat and the Flounder

We’re working with Total Theatre Award nominee PNME Theatre of Music to bring this touching tale of life, loss and the true nature of friendship to the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe.

Using headphones to give each audience member an immersive 360º sound experience like no other, The Gray Cat and the Flounder weaves together music, animation, imagined ballet and humour into a story that reminds us that with a shared sense of silliness and the freedom to express it, we can draw the world as we wish it to be!

You’ll be able to catch this show, written by Kevin Noe and Kieren MacMillan, at Assembly George Square Studios, Studio One, from 31st July until 22nd August (not 12th or 19th).

We can’t wait to see and hear The Gray Cat and the Flounder on stage, and hope to see you there! If you fancy it, tickets are on sale right now.

Jock Tamson’s Bairns

Yes, we’re bringing back Jock Tamson’s Bairns to Edinburgh this Fringe season, with three FREE performances 21st-25th August, at the deliciously opulent Ghillie Dhu!

We’re spending some time developing the show this spring and summer in order to present an improved, three-hour “party night” version at the Edinburgh Fringe. So whether you saw the show during our LGBT History Month run in February this year or not, come along and bring all your pals!

Part drag, part interactive cabaret, Jock Tamson’s Bairns is a theatrical experience, created by Civil Disobedience, which explores queer culture, growing up gay in the 1990s, and the bystander effect.

It’s set in an after-hours gay bar where the audience is invited to speak their mind, mixing scripted elements of storytelling with live music performances and open space discussion. No topic is taboo, but a respect for your fellow humans is compulsory.

“consistently powerful”
– The List

“an attitude of collectiveness and comfort that few companies achieve”
– The Skinny

“the most intriguing production being staged in Edinburgh”
– All Edinburgh Theatre

Though our three Edinburgh Fringe performances are free, you can book tickets now to guarantee entry for yourself and any family/friends coming with you.

Or, if you are based in London, we’re taking Jock Tamson’s Bairns to the Underbelly Southbank Festival on Wednesday 19th June, as part of this year’s Pride in London celebration.

Bugle Boys

Whether they’re getting up to no good with Alan Cumming, showboating on BBC Scotland, or lap-dancing festive hunks at Assembly Roxy, it’s definitely fair to say that The Bugle Boys get around.

Spearheaded by our fave queen, The Duchess, they wowed crowds at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe as well as stopping traffic with their Christmas Crackers last December, and now they’re set to return to Edinburgh with a new Fringe show that pays tribute to iconic girl bands.

Expect foxy frocks and powerful pop, as Patty, Maxene and LaVerne dance their shapely legs off and sing an array of huge hits by The Andrews Sisters, Spice Girls, Little Mix, Madonna and a whole lot more.

As usual, there’ll be bitchy banter and tall tales between numbers in this riotous and unique comedy/cabaret drag show, on sale now.
