It may have taken us a while to write a proper announcement (it’s been a busy spring so far!), but we are of course DELIGHTED and very excited to have been named a FINALIST in the the ‘Arts and Media’ category of the Proud Scotland Awards 2019!
We made the cut “for demonstrating originality, creativity and community engagement” with our LGBT History month run of Jock Tamson’s Bairns in February this year, as well as our Edinburgh Fringe public debate series at Fringe Central last August.
It’s a huge honour to have our work recognised in this way, and we couldn’t be more chuffed to be representing queer art in Scotland with these passion projects that we’ve created in collaboration with some of the most talented performers we know, who we are lucky enough to call friends!
Our fellow finalists in the Arts and Media category are Undividing Lines, Watercolour Music and Channel 4 (yup…CHANNEL 4!) – so we’re in very good company and up against some pretty stiff competition!
Whether we win or not, we’re incredibly proud to be a finalist in this important, inaugural awards event; we can’t wait to get our glad (d)rags on, our faces beat, and celebrate with our all LGBT brothers, sisters, non-binary queer family and allies attending the awards on the 1st of June!
BRING IT ON – AND WISH US LUCK! Xx x
