Forty years ago, on November 27, 1978, Harvey Milk’s iconic journey was ended by an assassin’s bullet. The generation of out LGBTQ leaders he inspired went on to transform the world we live in. UNC-Chapel Hill Professor of Political Science, Andrew Reynolds, has documented this history in his new book The Children of Harvey Milk: How LGBTQ Politicians Changed the World.
When you grow up in a society where you are not afforded the same experiences as others it affects you. When you teach yourself that you don’t want equal rights because you think you’ll never get them, it affects you. When you can’t find a positive role model because they too are too scared to come out, it affects you.
After three years of campaigning, we are delighted that LGBTI inclusive education will now become a reality in all of Scotland's state schools. This is a monumental victory for our campaign, and a historic moment for our country. The implementation of LGBTI inclusive education across all state schools is a world first, and in a time of global uncertainty, this sends a strong and clear message to LGBTI young people that they are valued here in Scotland.

For nearly a decade I worked within the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, supporting -an incredible range of participants, from novice companies to international artists of reputation. In that time, I chaired approximately 80 panel discussions about how to take part in the Fringe, and without exception three core ‘rules’ were raised in every discussion.

We're past the halfway point of the Edinburgh Fringe already, and to say that our amazing Bugle Boys are NAILING IT would be an understatement! The past two weeks have been crazy busy, with our queens taking the BBC by storm, hitting Radio Forth’s drivetime show, playing Best of the Fest (twice!), guesting at the New Town Cabaret and Brewhemia, plus performing at the Virgin Money Lounge for Fringe donors and at The Greatest Showman Sing-along.
