At Civil Disobedience we really love the fact that we get to pick and choose who we work with, and this week we couldn’t be more excited to announce the appointment of Victoria Falconer as Musical Director on Sasquatch, The Opera.

The show, which is the brainchild of Roddy Bottum (Faith No More, Imperial Teen), will have its world premiere at Edinburgh’s Summerhall this coming August – and when Roddy mentioned that he’d like someone on the ground in the UK supporting the musical direction of the show, hooking him up with our pal Vicky was a no brainer.

For those of you who have been living under a rock, Victoria Falconer is a notorious musical polymath, who after a stint with the National Theatre came to prominence on the Fringe scene as one half of award-winning cabaret duo EastEnd Cabaret, and has since formed the critically acclaimed Fringe Wives Club.

With both, she’s travelled the world garnering a reputation for artistic excellence and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her to the Civil Disobedience family.

Casting for Sasquatch The Opera was finalised in New York City last week, and we’ll be announcing the full company in the coming weeks.

Vicky has also been working with Carla Lippis on her new show Cast a Dark Shadow. We’ll tell you more about that next week.

Sasquatch The Opera runs 2-27 August at Summerhall, Edinburgh.
